Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

The visits all seem rushed, not that I want to chat all day, its that the staff seems to need to get to the next appointment. More staff is needed.

The only thing I have to say is the fact that it is getting harder to get a routine appointment with my primary care physician. I needed a referral to a specialist and would have preferred not to have to wait two weeks to see my PCP, and then have to wait to see the specialist. Other than that, I am very happy with this office.

I was not happy to hear Dr Solondz say my problem looked like it might be shingles, however, the anti viral medication her prescribed worked wonderfully and after 7 days the symptoms ceased and I was a happy camper.

When my former care provider suddenly left, I was upset and concerned about the level of care I would receive moving forward. I could not be more satisfied with the level of care I receive from Dr. Solondz.

Dr. Solondz is an excellent Dr. and very honorable in how he treats his patients. I have had a life long medical condition and it is rear you fine such a good Dr. that also genuinely cares and respects his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Solondz and Providence Medical Center . I just wish I could have found him many years ago. I am grateful and my varied health issues have only improved under his care. [...]

The lack of communication between EMRs makes it difficult to get full continuity of care between providers. For example, Dr. Solondz cannot see any of the notes/test results ordered by my orthopedic surgeon. In addition, the current opiod crisis makes it difficult to ask for pain medication in a way that will not be seen as suspicious. I have had ZERO issues using opiods to get me through foot surgery, and other surgeries. Never have a had a problem abusing any of these over the counter medications, yet when I asked for stronger medications that would not cause me so much stomach pain as high doses of ibuprofen for my joint pain (arthritis compounded by a bone bruise on my knee) and my difficult getting exercise and recovery PT because of the pain involved, I was told to use tylenol. That is not working for me. I really think that the medical industry needs to think carefully about the approach for people managing chronic pain. I continue to gain weight due to lack of activity brought on by chronic pain.

My appointment was to meet the doctor as a new patient. He spent most of the time filling in the gaps of my medical history on the computer.

My appointment was rescheduled three times. One time was due to weather - but I was nearly at the office when I received the call that the office would start 2.5 hours late. The other two reschedules were due to some sort of scheduling conflict with the doctor.

This is my 2nd time to visit Dr. Solondz as my Primary. I wasn't too sure of how this would go after the 1st visit, when we were introduced. My previous Primary of many years was outside of the Providence system, and a hard act to follow. The 2nd, recent visit with Dr. Solondz was reassuring; I think I'm going to be very happy in his care.

11/09/2016
It was all fine. I am new to these providers so more experience would be needed to make a strong recommendation. It would be nice if referral confirmations were determined as soon as possible. In my case, the entirety of my follow up care is dependent upon approval of these referrals to attend to my condition, which needs immediate action.

11/08/2016
Dr Solondz recommendations for referrals for care reflected appropriate concern for my medical needs or condition.

Care provider seems to type more on computer rather than listen. My guess in the 15-20 minutes provider was with me 3/4 of time he was typing.
