Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

The one thing that really bothered me was he increased one of my meds because a risk chart told him that is what I should be taking even though the blood test indicated that everything was going well with the dose I was taking.

I felt like the provider had his own opinion of my problem and would not hear what I had to say. He also never remembers who I am. I have been to him enough times he should have a clue.

Provider was Great I was over 15 minutes late to appointment because I thought clinical staff had said 3:30 instead of 2:30 so I was an hour late. When I had got to office and they told me I missed my appointment another patient had cancelled at the 3:30 appt so Dr Smucker seen me instead of making me re schedule. I really appreciated that especially since I had made the time error.

It truly seems that what is being examined is the computer's information; more time during the visit is spent by the doctor reading the PC info. He did listen to my heart, but . . . . . again, the PC was truly more focused upon.

Dr. Smucker's manner can sometimes appear to be abrupt or dismissive, or overly-focused on entering info in the computer instead of focusing on the patient. I see past that to his concern for my well-being, and appreciate how he listens. He takes just as much time as needed to cover my questions.

due to medical field, had to choose new insurance policy.so being a new patient I had hard getting an appointment before running out of prescriptions I have taken for years. One prescription was wrong and I ended up with 1/2 of one (15 days) and the insurance will not fill the rest of the month supply until it is gone!
