"As a women's health care provider, my most important role is to be a source of knowledge and support for women as they make decisions regarding their personal health care," says Shanta. "My goal is to be a partner in the creation of a healthy lifestyle."

In working with women, she says, "I am open to women's thoughts and beliefs surrounding their bodies, and I try to create an open and comfortable environment with every visit."

A Nebraska native, Shanta earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing at the University of Nebraska College of Nursing, and completed her master's degree in nursing at the university's medical center. She received her certification as a women's health care nurse practitioner in 1998.

In her free time, Shanta enjoys time spent with her son and husband, dreaming of their next vacation adventure.
