Biography & Education

Biography
A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Ready served her residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, and is an advocate of education as a means of prevention. She recently served as the clinical chair of the Tobacco and Alcohol Prevention Team at Group Health Cooperative and participated on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee. She also sat on a Washington Department of Health work group making recommendations to the governor regarding altered standards of care in a pandemic.

“I love the beauty, outdoor opportunities and the Gorge communities,” Dr. Ready says when asked what brought her to Hood River. “I am also excited to join Providence, where I believe I can practice medicine in a well-supported organization that is poised to move into the future. It is a great fit.”

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Dr. Ready takes time with her patients, which sometimes makes it difficult to get in to see her. For this appointment, I had recently suffered two unexpected seizures resulting in a trip to the ER and then two nights in Providence Medical Center in Portland. I called for a follow up appointment on Monday morning and she happened to have an extended time slot for that afternoon, which I got. The same thing happened in April after I had a stroke and spent a month in the hospital and rehab in Portland -- I was able to see her right away when I got home. Both times she took the time to give me a thorough examination and answered all of my questions. She and her entire staff are unfailingly courteous, efficient, and make me feel as if I'm their only patient. I feel blessed to have access to that level of care!

I moved to Hood River and needed to find a new doctor locally. We went over all my medical history. I never felt rushed. I feel she listen to me and answered all my question. My only issue was that the first appointment was scheduled out almost 2 months.

Dr Ready always takes the time to answer all of my questions and followed up through My Chart with any information that she needed to research. She's always professional and relaxed, providing a very comfortable experience for me.

My care provider treats me for diabetes only, and seems to be unconcerned about my anxiety or lack of good sleep, things I have mentioned. She seems to be reluctant to give me what I say works, even though at 65, I have a proven record of not abusing these medications. Also, I have tried to get them to use my given name [...], but since records are kept with my first name [...], it is still used many times causing anxiety and stress due to my documented PTSD. [...]

I was seeking to establish a regular care physician - not a good match. Need to keep looking. I filled out my entire medical history before I got there and she didn't refer to it. She seemed hung up on a past emergency room visit that had been resolved and talked into a voice to test device while looking at me. Awkward.

I think Doctor Ready is a good Physician with a high degree of knowledge. But I do not feel at easy when she walks in. She's in perfect health and beams with it. I suffer a lot in my life with things I can't control, and she knows this. But I get the feeling I'm on an assembly line and if she can't adjust me, I'm moved along. I've had only a few who I felt had empathy for my situation and made me feel they were there for me.

she is the best i have ever had, listens and explains and doesnt appear hurried. i go once a year to her for my yearly physical, and feel that through her advice and care, i havent had to go to the dr during the year. I know though that if i do need to go to the office, i will be able to do that quickly.

This is the first time I've seen Dr Ready as my previous Dr is no longer available. I didn't need any referrals but she did schedule a blood test for me with my oncologist for my yearly check up. she went over my history and records and made sure she was familiar with my case. she was personable and made a couple of recommendations. I plan on seeing her again next year unless I need to see her sooner for some reason.

Dr. Ready spent a lot of time with me because it was my initial visit. she will be my primary doctor in the summer. I have a doctor in CO in the winter. we are trying to combine electronic medical records from two different systems. I feel confident that I have made the right choice in Dr. Ready for my summer doctor
