Biography & Education

Dr. Harter graduated with honors from Baylor University, Waco, Texas, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He first came to Providence as a Resident in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at St. Vincent Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then served a Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Following three years of private practice in Missouri, Dr. Harter came back to Providence in 2001. He is Medical Director of Surgical Pathology at Providence Portland Medical Center and PSA Point of Care Testing.
