Biography

Katrina Grant, MD, chose to be a family physician because of the opportunity to develop relationships with people of all ages, as well as with whole families.  As part of her work, she provides pregnancy care, attends births, and cares for children.

Taking an integrative approach to care, she seeks to hear each person’s story, learn about the person’s priorities and values, and work in a collaborative way toward improving health and preventing illness. “I believe that a holistic understanding of health is essential – not simply finding and controlling disease, but facilitating each person’s journey toward becoming healthier.”

Dr. Grant earned her medical degree from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine, as well as a residency in Preventive Medicine, at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She received her Master in Public Health from Portland State University.

Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

the provider is good the system is very disorganized. information is not communicated clearly throughout the care team and referrals are made with error. this has happened to me twice at PMG North office. other PMG Offices are run better then the north office.

No one called me about lab results and labs ordered did not include thyroid which was part of our discussion and one of my concerns. [...] Dr Grant seemed knowledgeable and friendly. I like that she listens and seems more holistic in her approach to medicine.

My provider is excellent- she listens to me and remembers what I say, but doesn't hesitate to rely on her own expertise or education. She is efficient but not insensitive. I always have a clear idea of what to anticipate from our visits or follow-up.

When leaving a message with assistants they are rarely returned - seems to be a huge lack of continuity and follow-thru. Best for me to use message chart, provider better at responding and is very consistent herself. She is empathetic and helpful.

I was asked to fill out a questionnaire in the reception area that seemed the same as the one I did online before the visit. The PA who first saw me asked me similar questions. as I'd answered online. Don't waste my time asking me to do an online survey if it's not used.
