Biography & Education

Dr. Susie Bobenrieth emphasizes care of the whole patient.  She believes that patients won’t do well with preventive care or management of chronic health conditions if there are barriers to their care. “As a provider,” she says, “I try to recognize and address these issues collaboratively with my patients.”

She decided to become a family physician after volunteering in various health care environments and recognizing the role that the family physician can play in prevention, support and advocacy for patients in times of both wellness and illness. “It is a joy and privilege to journey with patients through the ups and downs of life,” she says.

Dr. Bobenrieth earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. She completed her internship and residency at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in Vancouver.

Dr. Bobenrieth is married and has two children. She enjoys hiking, camping, reading, gardening and soccer.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Dr. Bobenreith expresses interest, concern and empathy with each visit.

Excellent, very compassionate, caring & sensitive to individual needs of patients. Thorough & clear communication -

I love my doctored and her team

I alway have a positive and productive interaction with Dr Bobenrieth

Dr. Bobenreith is the best. I have been a patient of her for years. I don't live or work anywhere near the office, but will drive anywhere in order to see her. I saw her at her previous practice and followed her to yours.

I love Dr. Susie!

Dr. Bobenrieth is excellent. I chose a less-great insurance plan through my employer just to stay with her.

Dr. Bobenreith is an excellent provider; she is attentive, responsive, and informative in our discussions. I have recommended her to friends and they are equally pleased with her care.

the doctor listened to me, gave me plenty of her time and addressed a particular problem I was having immediately. She also laid out a plan for addressing other preventive care needs and other issues that need to be addressed at some point.

I have seen Dr Bobenrieth for years and she is the best. I have recommended her to many people

My primary care physician left her practice so I was establishing a new doctor relationship. I saw her annually and was open and honest with her. She ran bloodwork on me and listened to what I said. Within the first 10 minutes of meeting me I was referred to Al-Non meetings based on answers to a survey I took. I don't feel like this was appropriate for my very first visit, just to establish care, without even having any of my previous medical records or knowing me well at all. My 4:20 appointment ended at 6pm, and I was told to schedule a follow up visit in 4 weeks after we got my lab work from September from my old physician (which is oerfect). [...]

I had a misunderstanding with Dr Bobenreith and I brought it up and we discussed it and it was cleared up. I was happy with this result as I think she is the best primary care dr I have had since I was a child.

She is very open to questions and easy to talk to, she does not intimidate or brush off your concerns.

Scheduling appointments on line indicate to arrive 20 minutes early, however, it is not clear that the 20 minutes is already built into the appointment time. I was fortunate that they could take me early, but could have made for a longer wait than was necessary.

I love Dr. Susie and have recommended her to several friends! Everybody in the office was pleasant and very helpful!!

Dr Bobenreith is the best doctor I have had. She truly cares about her patients and wants the best care possible for them. She always takes my health questions and concerns very serious and has given me options and information as well as referring me to other excellent doctors like the gynecologist I now see for other issues I am having. I know if I go through mychart with questions she always responds and She remembers me which is not the case with previous doctors I have seen who rely on just a chart. I always tell people about her because after seeing doctors for more than 50 years she is the first one who I really trust with my healthcare and I know I can count on her to go above and beyond when it comes to my care.

She takes the time to explain medical issues thoroughly.

dr bobenrieth was very personable and attentive

Just that my appointment was made for late afternoon and I waited for an hour before I was seen.

I really appreciated that Dr. Bobenrieth took the time I needed to go over all of my concerns and needs. She also was very kind, helpful, and empathetic. She offered advice and suggestions in a very non-judgmental way

Dr. Bobenrieth and her team are caring and helpful. I am very happy with Providence!

Susie Bobenrieth is excellent.

I think this clinic doesn't allow for providers to spend enough time with patients, nor give providers enough time to review patient records prior to seeing said patient. I was early to my appointment ad I had to wait over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. About 45 minutes into waiting I had to seek out a healthcare professional to see what was amiss, as no one followed up with me. This lack of oversight has made me question Gateway's efficacy and car, and I am considering changing providers. Furthermore, I had a somewhat alarming test result and I was given less than specific and adequate information from the provider's assistant. The provider's assistant seemed very unknowledgeable.

I love the actual provider. Wait times at the office are consistently > 30 mins., sometimes > 60 mins.

My doctor always listens to my concerns and is easy to talk to.

My experience was very positive Dr. Bobenreith was well prepared, she had read my chart. She spent time making sure that all my questions were answered and we worked together to make sure that I as healthy as I think I am.

I took the time to put my medications into the website prior to the visit. This info was NOT available to the doctor. Why? This was frustrating.

Dr. Bobenreith is always responsive to my questions. Although I did not call her or the office, I emailed several times. My one concern is there isn't always agreement about services available e.g. I was sent a notice saying I needed a tetanus booster. Dr. B said I needed to get it at a pharmacy like Walgreens yet the day before my close friend received hers at the same clinic. Dr. B checked on this but there was no clear idea why the two were different.

i realy like my doctor

I feel BLESSED to have Providence health care. I also am blessed with my Dr.

The experiences are very good with this provider. [...]
