Healthier Communities, Together
In 2017, Providence continued its tradition of compassionate
care and dedication to our communities. Providence St. Vincent
Medical Center invested more than $130.8 million to improve
health outcomes. These targeted investments include more
than $2.2 million to community partners and $13.2 million in
free and low-cost care.
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is part of Providence Health & Services in Oregon, a not-for-profit network of hospitals, health plans, physicians, clinics and affiliated health services. The facility is a Top 100 Hospital awarded 10 times by Solucient. In addition, PSVMC is renowned for its many centers of excellence, including Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, Providence Brain and Spine Institute, and Providence Center for Health Care Ethics. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is home to the world’s most advanced operating room suite for brain tumors, with the West Coast’s only movable intraoperative MRI Scanner. In 2014, a $25 million grant was awarded to our Heart and Vascular Institute to support research and cardiac wellness. In September 2018 we received an unprecedented fifth consecutive Magnet designation for outstanding patient care and nursing excellence.
Our goal is to train highly skilled and dedicated caregivers to become the doctors of the future. We emphasize life-long learning, evidence-based medicine, and professionalism. Many graduates from Providence St. Vincent residency program are now leaders within the Providence Health & Services healthcare system.
