Person getting an IV infusion

Home Infusion Pharmacy

At Providence, our priority is patient safety, patient satisfaction and quality clinical outcomes. Our pharmacists and clinicians have specialized experience working with patients in the areas of infectious diseases, oncology, nutrition support, pain management and specialty infusion medications.

At Providence, we understand you might feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the prospect of undergoing infusion therapy at home. But you can rest assured that our pharmacists, nurses and dietitians are highly experienced in caring for patients who need infusion therapy for infections, nutrition, pain management, cancer treatment and chronic conditions.

Before you start infusion therapy at home, or at one of our freestanding infusion suites, our clinicians will work with your provider and complete an assessment to confirm that the service will work well for you. We’ll make sure you have the right equipment and understand how your therapy works. For daily home infusion therapies we will teach you and your care partner how to use the infusion equipment so that you are comfortable with the process.

Infusion nurses, pharmacists and dietitians are specially trained to monitor your progress to help achieve your treatment goals. Whenever you have questions, we are here for you with the answers.

In addition to providing infusion therapy services in the home, we operate freestanding ambulatory infusion suite locations where intermittent infusion services are provided.

We provide a wide range of infusion therapies, from IV antibiotics and hydration to IV nutrition and other prescribed IV therapies. We also offer specialized nutrition therapy for children and adults who require tube feeding.

Our clinical pharmacists assess, prepare and dispense medications and supplies as well as recommend therapy options and monitor your response to your treatment.

For home infusion our infusion nurses train you and your caregivers to confidently and safely administer infusion therapies. At our Infusion Suites, our infusion nurses administer and monitor your infusion. They assess your treatment needs along the way and follow up with you for lab draws and dressing changes.

Our registered dietitians follow patients who require parenteral nutrition and tube feeding. They provide training, support and frequent nutritional assessments. They also partner with your pharmacist, nurse and physician to maximize your overall nutrition.
