Providence Hospitalist Programs
Providence Health & Services employs hospitalists in six hospitals in Oregon. These hospital-medicine experts work on-site to ensure excellent care for hospitalized patients.
Our hospitalists work collaboratively with other medical and surgical specialists in the hospital to ensure smooth coordination of patient evaluations, treatment planning and care. They also work closely with a patient's primary care physician to maintain continuity of care before, during and after a hospital stay. Their expertise and support is an invaluable asset to our patients and medical teams.
The Providence Hospitalist Experience
Our hospitalists have identified three shared priorities that define what it means to be a Providence hospitalist:
- Optimal patient care: Providence hospitalists dedicate themselves to providing the optimal patient experience by focusing on clinical excellence, patient safety, positive care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Teamwork and collaboration: Our hospitalists ensure efficient and effective care by working as a cohesive team with each other, and as collaborative partners with specialists, primary care providers and the bedside care team. Lifelong learning: Providence hospitalists are committed to lifelong learning through continuing their own professional development, sharing knowledge with each other, and teaching residents, medical students and nurses.
