Levels of Care
Routine Care is the hospice service provided by your Hospice Team in the comfort of your place of residence, whether it is in a facility or your own home. The services are intermittent and interdisciplinary and are based on your care plan.
Respite Care is available upon advance notice and by request, to provide your family and caregivers with a break. It is provided in facilities contracted with Providence Hospice.
Continuous Care and Inpatient Care are available as part of your Medicare Hospice benefit when an urgent situation develops and your family or current caregivers are unable to provide the needed medical care to reach comfort. Custodial care needs do not meet the eligibility for these levels of care.
On-call nurses and other interdisciplinary hospice team members provide you with access to hospice staff twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
