Providence Cancer Institute cares for a high number of patients whose immune systems are impacted by cancer treatment. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, we are taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our patients. At this time we are only holding online support groups. Online support groups meet on a secure Zoom platform.
Cancer support groups provide education and support for cancer patients and their loved ones. Support groups are led by our professional staff and are offered as a free service to any person with cancer in our community.
All groups offer a forum for sharing information and proactive, holistic support in diagnosis, treatment and management of cancer. We recognize that individuals cope with cancer differently and discuss the emotional and practical aspects of “living with cancer” at all stages of the disease.
All support groups are open to the community, at no charge, and require registration:
- Current education and support groups are available online. See Support Groups flyer for schedule and registration information. For questions, please call 503-215-6014.
- All Southern Oregon support groups are on hold due to COVID-19. For further assistance please call Kate Newgard at 541-732-6295.
For one-on-one support, our Peer Cancer Support Program can match you to a cancer survivor who is a trained volunteer:
