Pelvic health-bowel difficulties therapy
Also known as:
Bowel difficulties therapy, Men's bowel difficulties therapy, Women's bowel difficulties therapy, Pediatric bowel difficulties therapy
Men, women and children can suffer from difficulties with bowel function. Whether it is struggling with chronic constipation or having episodes of fecal incontinence, physical therapy can help you manage your symptoms.
Therapeutic exercises address muscle control issues. Biofeedback is another part of the physical therapy program. This tool measures the tiny electrical signals that muscles produce when they contract.
During a biofeedback session, muscle contractions are displayed on a computer screen. By watching the computer screen, it is possible to see when the correct muscles are contracting or relaxing.
