Providence Hospitals Earn Gold Certification For Excellence In Hip And Knee Replacement Surgeries
November 29, 2017
Following rigorous on-site reviews by The Joint Commission, Providence Medford Medical Center, Providence Portland Medical Center, and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center have earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for hip and knee replacement re-certification.
Surveyors said they were impressed with the teams’ passion and commitment to offering the best care possible. “This accomplishment could only happen because our teams are all working in partnership with each other and physicians, focusing on our patient’s needs and expectations, and individually bringing their special skills and talents to work each day,” said Tom Lorish, M.D., Medical Director, Providence Orthopedic Institute. “Our caregivers have been instrumental in answering the call to create healthier communities, deliver excellent care, and help make care affordable for all.”
This certification provides us with the framework to create a culture of excellence for those in our community, and is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.
Providence Orthopedic Institute performs more than 12,000 surgeries in Oregon every year.
