Genevieve Buser, M.D., MSHP, has joined Providence as pediatric infectious disease specialist for Providence Children’s Health in Oregon. She was most recently a public health physician with the Oregon Health Authority where she was instrumental in acute and communicable disease prevention.
Pediatric infectious disease is a new specialty for Providence Children’s Health in Oregon, demonstrating a commitment to providing comprehensive care for children. Initially, Dr. Buser will focus on program development and care for children hospitalized in our neonatal intensive care, acute pediatrics, and pediatric intensive care units. “Providence is the largest provider of health care services for children in Oregon and being able to provide pediatric infectious disease expertise is critical,” said Resa Bradeen, M.D., medical director of Providence Children’s Health in Oregon. “We are committed to providing a full continuum of care for children and families and are thrilled that Dr. Buser will lead this new specialty for us.”
Dr. Buser attended medical school at McGill University, Montreal and received her Master of Science in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Calif. and infectious disease fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
