Unregulated electronic cigarettes raise concerns for experts

March 25, 2013

People who use electronic cigarettes may believe they’re making a healthier smoking choice. But since e-cigarettes are unregulated at this time, it’s not fully known what’s in the vapor these non-tobacco cigarettes emit. Dr Bill Bowerfind, specialist in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, discusses how electronic cigarettes work and why people use them. He also addresses the health risks of herbal cigarettes with KXL radio and with KPTV's Good Day Oregon.
