Dr. Brandon Young made a career change from designing footwear at Nike and Columbia Sportswear to become a physician. “I wanted a career that would allow me to help people,” he says. “I also wanted to be constantly challenged in a field that continues to change.”
He emphasizes the relationship with his patients. “A therapeutic relationship helps both the physician and the patient, and I believe leads to the best possible outcomes,” he says.
Dr. Young earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and is completing his residency at the Providence Medical Group St. Vincent clinic. His undergraduate degree is in biochemistry from Portland State University.
“I am excited to be a physician, and I am enjoying the opportunities that training here has given me,” he says.
A life-long Northwesterner, Dr. Young enjoys everything Portland has to offer, from great restaurants to outdoor activities.
