Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I thought I should have an EKG done at the visit since I have had two events. When I asked why he did not do an EKG he said it is because you are doing so well. So I think my last EKG was done the first of the year and I do not return to Dr. Walsh for a year. I think he is a good doctor but I was concerned.

Dr Walsh is a caring, patient and thorough care giver. He covers most of my questions without asking. He knows his patients. If I have a question he explains the problem in such a way that one can understand. The office is well run and plesasant.

One complaint - Dr. did not fully explain all test results, even though he deemed some findings inconsequential should fully explain ALL test findings, minor though they may be.

Dr Wash has been my husband's cardiologist for over ten years. When I experienced issues with cholesterol and intolerance to statin drugs I sought his help. He is working to get me to a therapeutic level of a statin drug, and it is working. I appreciate all he has done for my husband and what he is currently doing for me.

Dr. Walsh obviously is very smart and talented. Given that he did not listen to my questions with an open mind. Once he assessed that I was not well informed (which I was) he no longer paid any attention to my additional questions.

Dr. Walsh's office seemed very organized except for wait time. Appointments are scheduled 1/2 hour before the actual time to be seen. We arrived early for the appointed time. Scheduled appointment time was 2:15; we arrived at 2:00. I was told the time to be seen was 1/2 hour away 2:45. [...] I was very impressed with [...], the nurse who called to get medical history pre-appointment. She seemed very skillful in doing the interview and getting the information needed in a friendly and professional manner.

I've been under this doctor's care for many years. I have never had a bad experience. I have always felt that I've been given the best care possible. After discussions with this doctor I always feel that I have the necessary understanding and perspective of my situation, what to expect next from my health situation and my providers, and what I can do to help myself.

Better than using the telephone , I reached the Doctor using your MyChart email system, which resulted in prompt replies and fast information. The Doctors responses were prompt and appreciated and he followed up on the telephone with additional information for further treatment. Outstanding service from this Doctor and clinic.
