Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Dr. Walsh, I felt, took all the time I needed to explain my questions and situation. Acted like he had all the time in the world to chat with me. I think that I will request him the next time I have an appointment.

I have had nothing but the most thoughtful and competent care at St. V's. My PCP and specialists are all responsive and offer very excellent care. As well, their office staff are attentive and respond to my needs.

Dr. Walsh is a caring and professional person. I had a choice to come to Astoria but I would not give up Dr. Walsh. He saved my husbands life for 10 years and I expect the same for me - or more, thanks for asking.

Dr Walsh is always so kind and respectful--he sits down and talks to me, genuinely interested in my concerns. I fortunately only have to see him once a year for a chronic condition but he always had been very patient, clear and concise and I would recommend him to anyone in need of a cardiologist

Dr Walsh is personable, professional and good humored caregiver. He takes the time to "get to know" the patient. He explains diagnosis and optional treatments well.

He acted in an arrogant, condescending manner and was not interested in me as a person. He had his set ideas. He was good in examing me and seemed competent in that.

It was all good, time spent with doctors, in the hospital, emergency, amblulance, all of it was done wonderfully. I felt safe and secure.
