Biography & Education

Lynn VanDeHey-Thomas' philosophy of care as a physician assistant is to create a patient-provider team and encourage patients to take an active role in their health care. "I became a provider because I want to enhance the lives of my patients and help them achieve a healthy lifestyle," she says.

"I emphasize good communcation, not only between myself and my patients, but also with my colleagues," Lynn said. "I hope this leads to long-lasting patient relationships, while helping them improve or maintain their quality of life."

Lynn received both her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Born and raised in the Portland area, Lynn loves calling the Pacific Northwest home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cross-stitching, and playing board games with her husband and three children.

About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Providence Health & Services Patient

Lynn and her associate were more than professional! They made sure all my questions were answered. I do think the front office associates and/or receptionist could appear to be more professional.
Providence Health & Services Patient

Very interested in my health, knew what my problem was and gave me the correct solution. She was easily accessable when I called for further information.
Providence Health & Services Patient

She is the PA. My doctor was booked up and I had pink eye. So the receptionist asked if I wanted to see the PA. She was great, and I got in right away. I was very happy with this process.

Lynn is fantastic! [...] is also fantastic.I am frustrated with what happens when I call on the phone [...] Lynn is a great doctor and I so appreciate her knowledge and bedside manner, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle of dealing with the admin side.
Providence Health & Services Patient

[...] I would recommend the care of [...] office to my associates gladly. Although I, at first, doubted the doctor's interest in my case, I have found that with the arrival of PA Lynn, my complaiints are being attended to with greater allacrity.
