Personal Statement: There are so many great reasons why I joined PSVMC. If I had to choose one, it would be the people here - ranging from my colleagues and the housestaff, to the medical and support staff. It's hard to leave my girls each morning, but I can't think of a more pleasant place to go to work.

Areas of Academic/Clinical Focus:
Evidence based medicine
Technology in Medical Education

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Medical Director of the residency clinic
  • Coordinate the EBM curriculum

Personal Interests: I have far too many interests outside of medicine, though currently, most of my time is spent with my two lovely attention craving daughters. First and foremost, I'm a sports fanatic, especially Pac-10 football, NBA, and NFL. I'm also a tech junkie and love to accumulate gadgets. My main hobby is photography which I try to incorporate into my daily life. As much as my family can tolerate it, I grill and BBQ rain or shine.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Everyone at Providence is always very helpful & pleasant.

Only one person checking in people for appt. Had to wait in a line, then in waiting room. I rate Dr. Man Tran as my all time favorite physician. I wish I could always get an appt. with him, but my PCP is Dr. [...] on paper but she is often not available. [...]

I have never had a better PCP than Dr. Tran.

Enjoyed meeting with Dr. Tran; he seems very knowledgable, respectful & capable. Dr. [...] usually sees me, however that is overseen by Dr. Tran.

Dr. Tran is superb. I like his bluntness and academic approach to the examination conversation.

Dr Tran has been very helpful in providing timely referrals.

He gave close attention to my needs.

My new doctor is the best doctor [...].

Unsurpassed - Dr. Tran great man, great doc.

Dr. Tran is an exceptional doctor that I am grateful to have. He has given 100% expertise in managing my health care. He listens and addresses all needs. The best.

Although Dr. Tran is not my usual provider, he treated me very kindly and made me feel very comfortable! Very nice man & excellent dr.!

Dr. Tran is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He definitely cares about his patients & listens to what they/I say.

Good rapport w/patients.

Always very good.

Dr Tran recomended I stop taking [...] for high blood pressure. As it turns out, I was experiencing side effects that were not good, and my blood pressure seems to be within normal ranges with just a water capsule. Dr. Tran was not the Dr that first prescribed [...] for me, that was nearly 20 years ago. I am feeling much better without that drug in my system. Thank you Dr. Tran!!

Still it is good.

I came in with an injury which was different from why I made the appt. as always Dr. Tran had everything I needed.

Dr Man Tran is a fabulous Doctor. I feel extremely fortunate to have him for my Health Care. Dr Tran always takes the time to address my questions and concerns. Both you and I are very fortunate to have Dr Tran.

Informative, non-rushed conversation; bi-directional conversation; very current; plus an Oregon State U. Beaver!

Even, seeing the team, we could not solve the problem with my wrist purposes. I have osteoporosis.

During this visit after the MA was finished taking my information, she let me know that Dr. Tran was running a little behind and offered me a hot cup of tea since I was so sick. Not only did she bring in a real cup but also 4 different tea bags to chose from and two different types of sugars.

I think, this offic as good as it gets in light of,today's heae aslth care, envirobment.

I also saw a student and she was excellent.

I was in because I was sick with a cold or flu and wanted to be sure it was not anything worse than that. I was checked out and given instructions on how to deal with the situation.

very attentive to my needs

Good experience
