Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Scheduling appointments could use friendlier customer orientation. They are always so robotic, no polite exchanges.

Jeremy Swindle has always been a great listener and communicator, and he even gets back to me quickly when I email him questions or concerns. I've recommended him to many of my friends who were looking for a doctor or thinking of changing to a different one.

I had a reaction to a vaccination on a Saturday. I phoned the office (not during business hours) and was forwarded to a service. a woman took my information and told me I would be contacted by a nurse. I never was.

Greeting staff is always kind and friendly but very efficient. Dr. Swindle has a relaxed manner which puts me in a relaxed state. Having a doctor actually sit down instead of standing and appearing to hurry up the process is a blessing.

The nurse who attended to me was extremely outspoken about the type of wellness visit I was having and said my insurance would not pay and also that my doctor does not do these visits. I informed her to get the doctor and leave it alone.

I have a regular appointment once a month with Dr. Swindle,Which I have kept. How ever between these visits I became ill. Two times I was given 2 different doctors who did not know my personal medical history! I was miss diagnosed and told I was very contagious, which I later found to be untrue!

The primary reason for this appointment was for a pre-op for cancer on my lower eyelid, and information about my health conditions as have A-fib and on blood thinners. The doctor did all the right things to help, and I have had the eye surgery that was completed with equal care and caution.

Long wait time (4 1/2 months) for new patient appt. Staff were cordial and helpful. A simple handout naming all medical home team staff with their roles and perhaps a short bio would be very helpful in discerning who would be providing care.

This has nothing to do with Dr. Swindle but the decision made by hospital administration to rotate PA's may have made scheduling shifts easier, it was a bad call in my opinion. Doctors, PA's and patients develop a cohesive modus operandi. A sort of rythym. On the appointment in question, Dr. Swindles PA I have seen for over 6 years, was on shift so things went smoothly, and I felt at ease and able to communicate openly. Obviously people go on vacation, leave, change jobs, etc.. but why flip things upside down for patients because someone wants to rock the boat?

Dr Swindle seems very smart, and is probably an excellent doctor. He seemed to have a dismissive attitude about problems I have involving [...]. He gave me no sign that even knew what that was (and many doctors do not) He had a look on his face throughout the apt that said "I am not sure I can take you and all your issues very seriously," and was perhaps waiting for me to somehow prove myself. I actually appreciated his relative "I am the guy in charge now' attitude--that is what more GPs need, I think, rather being the ones who always pass the buck. [...] Somehow I did not really understand his advice about whether or not to take antivirals right away for my recurring shingles. Overall, I suspect he is good doctor, and that I took him by surprise. I do not plan at this point on finding another GP.
