Dr. Jeffrey Swanson provides expert care for patients with cardiovascular disease. "I pride myself on providing excellent, personalized cardiac surgery delivered in a caring, compassionate and respectful environment," he says.

Dr. Swanson, who is medical director of cardiovascular surgery at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, enjoys the relationships that he forms with his patients and feels privileged to care for them.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Montpellier in France, Dr. Swanson completed an internship at The Moncton Hospital in New Brunswick, Canada and a residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He completed cardiac surgery fellowships at both Hopital Broussais in Paris, France, and OHSU.

Dr. Swanson is board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery. With more than 35 years of experience, his special expertise includes valvular heart surgery and aortic surgery.
