About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

After waiting for over an hour to see Dr. Strauss I was extremely disappointed in him. He did not apologize for being late, he was rushed, argumentative, aggressive in his tone, intimidating, and rude. He rushed through the ultrasound (that I did not know I was going to have). He spoke what sounded like a memorized script he tells every patient about pregnancy. I did not feel like an individual. I felt like i was just the next pregnant body he had to speak at. [...] My experience with Dr. Strauss is one of my worse experiences that I have ever had with a health care provider. It really has ruined what should be a happy time, my first pregnancy experience. He was particularly good at answering questions that embarrassed me. They were difficult, sensitive issues and he was direct, informative, and concise....a perfect combination for me!

Dr. Strauss (and his staff) are always respectful and good humored. He is always up to date on the latest information and studies in his field and able to convey the information in a way I can understand. He always allows for questions and is not overbearing.

The doctors and nurses were amazing. I was given all the information I needed and was able to ask all my questions. I originally had Dr. [...] as my gyno, but had Dr. Strauss perform my exam for a small procedure. Both doctors and assistants were very helpful, nice, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with, considering what I had to get done. The nurse that was in the room with my while I had my procedure done was instrumental in helping my calm down; she held my hand and asked me questions and was there for whatever I needed! Dr. Strauss also was kind, courteous, and proficient. The only comment I would make regarding a somewhat negative experience would be with the receptionists that greet the patients; they are curt and not very nice. I don't expect sunshine and rainbows, but at least a smile would be nice!

I was referred to this office to follow up on something from my PCP. He explained it was not an issue, but then helped me with something that was an issue that I didn't know there was such a simple solution for. My life is now much improved!
