David Solondz, M.D., puts a strong focus on self-care in his medical practice. “I believe being a person’s physician is like joining a partnership,” he says. “I enjoy guiding people to help themselves make difficult choices and improve their health.”
As a family physician who specializes in integrative medicine, Dr. Solondz combines conventional medicine with complementary therapies. He provides medical acupuncture for multiple conditions. He also has experience in guided-imagery/clinical hypnosis and a variety of meditation practices, such as tai chi and yoga.
Dr. Solondz completed an internship and residency in family medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He also completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Dr. Solondz was born and raised in Mountainside, N.J. Outside of the office, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, including downhill skiing, camping, hiking, biking and kayaking.
Dr. Solondz is the co-medical director of the Providence Integrative Medicine Program.
