Dr. Tatyana Shaw believes that medicine is as much about the patients as it is the science. Her areas of expertise are skin cancer and prevention, acne, eczema and psoriasis.
"I believe my most important role as a dermatologist is to serve as an expert in a variety of skin conditions so I can provide the best care possible for my patients," she says.
"Medicine is a very visual field," said Dr. Shaw, "where you can often look at someone's skin and know exactly how to help them. Helping to resolve a patient's skin condition is rewarding."
After earning her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Dr. Shaw completed an internship at Providence Portland Medical Center and a dermatology residency at OHSU. Dr. Shaw is board certified in dermatology.
Dr. Shaw was born in Russia but completed her education in the United States. She is married with two children, and in her free time she enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling. Dr. Shaw is fluent in Russian.
