"In today's era, health care is complex and not just about the doctor and patient anymore," said Dr. Jay Shah. "Everyone in my office works as a team to improve quality of care. The focus is on disease prevention and wellness." As a physician, Dr. Shah enjoys working with patients to make a difference in their lives, whether it's for an individual or a community as a whole.
Dr. Shah completed his family medicine residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University/Bon Secours St. Francis Family Medicine. He stayed on as a faculty member for two years, during which time he completed an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with the ultimate goal of providing high-quality care to patients while understanding the administrative details of our health care system. Dr. Shah is board certified in family medicine.
During his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys playing tennis and travelling with his wife and two daughters. In addition to English, he speaks several other languages fluently including Gujarati, Hindi, Kutchi and Marathi.
