Biography
A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Ready served her residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, and is an advocate of education as a means of prevention. She recently served as the clinical chair of the Tobacco and Alcohol Prevention Team at Group Health Cooperative and participated on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee. She also sat on a Washington Department of Health work group making recommendations to the governor regarding altered standards of care in a pandemic.

“I love the beauty, outdoor opportunities and the Gorge communities,” Dr. Ready says when asked what brought her to Hood River. “I am also excited to join Providence, where I believe I can practice medicine in a well-supported organization that is poised to move into the future. It is a great fit.”

I just don't get the best care when she has a medical student with her, I almost felt shoved aside. I went in for breathing concerns that weren't totally dealt with. [...] I felt stupid when I left the office. I can't afford to keep coming back but I can't afford to not breathe. [...] I'm disappointed, I can't afford the run around.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Ready. We are new to the Hood River area, and I chose her because she has provided good care to my mother, who lives nearby. I've seen how she works with my mother, and I am very happy to be her patient, as well. The practice works smoothly and seems very responsive to patients.

I have especially appreciated Dr. Ready's quick and helpful responses to my email inquiries thru MyChart. This has been a marvelous service, far better than communicating by phone. Dr. Ready almost always is back to me by MyChart messaging same day or less than 24 hours.

She listened to my needs and concerns. Then she carefully explained what was happening to me and what efforts I needed to take to remedy the situation. Recognizing my hearing impairment, she spoke slowly and clearly so that I would understand.

I found her PA to be very helpful too as well as those who came in and took my Blood pressure when i came in with it very high she took the time to let me sit for awhile and it had gone down, and calmed me down, I always have such caring and helpful staff in this office.

I receive the utmost professional courtesy and care at all times. Appointments are always scheduled so I usually only wait up to five minutes in waiting room....that is NOT always true in other offices.

Dr. Ready is so positive, and happy for me when I email her about my exercise progress, I sometimes have received positive praise emails at 10:30pm. I think that goes above and beyond the care that I have had in the past. She is very special to me, and I would imagine a huge asset to your organization.

This provider always before has just typed on the computer while hardly looking at me. This time she talked into some kind of machine while looking at the computer and hardly looking at me. I feel that she is not personable and not really likeable. I am going to see somebody else, am not going back to her.

I have felt that she didn't have time for me and I needed a doctor who had more time. The last time I saw her she was a changed woman and not in such a hurry. She has really changed and I like her now.

My only concern with Dr. Ready is that she is reluctant to write a prescription, even when I am very sick and need an antibiotic. I know she means well, but it means I am sick longer than I need to be.

I think she is doing the best she can given the time constraints imposed by large patient load, but we have not had time to get to know each other as well as was the case with my previous primary care provider in the same practice. Also, it appears as if she does not have time to read my answers on the survey form given me at each visit. In summary, we have not yet developed an ease of two-way communication that would facilitate the level of care which has been characteristic of Providence clinics, but is still better than I can receive in my hometown, which is why I drive some distance to reach Providence facilities for most of my healthcare needs.

My physician referred me to the anti-coagulation clinic and the staff made the appt for me. I also was referred to the hospital for an x-ray and labs which was easily obtained the following day. I like both the clinic and my physician and the labs services I've received from Providence Hospital.
