Biography & Education

I have had the privilege of serving patients as a clinical trials nurse here at Providence Cancer Center for more than five years. Through that experience I have been able to witness the complexities that a patient must face as they maneuver the treatment path.

My role as a nurse navigator is to help guide patients through the maze of cancer care from diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and on to survivorship. I can help to indentify patient barriers to care and ensure that they do not fall through the cracks. Through education, patients are enabled to overcome communication gaps that may exist between themselves and care providers or family members.   By empowering patients with knowledge and reducing obstacles of concern, I am able to help reduce patient’s anxiety about the treatment experience.
