About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Dr. Porter is very good, kind and helpful. So is his staff. There were communication problems but that was because I was very tired and just having a hard time following what he said so I kept having to restate and then he'd reexplain and then I'd restate... At the time, I couldn't think to tell him that I was too tired to think. [...]

Porter just didn't seem to care what I had to say about how I 'felt' (which was very sick). He then ordered up an X-Ray for my sinuses when a CT would be more appropriate. Even the technician told me that usually you would do a CT for sinuses. At the end of the day I wasted multiple days on Porter, and ended up going to the Urgent Care for antibiotics, and go figure I feel great again.

Bedside manners are a bit old school. But he is extremely knowledgeable and straightforward.

Doctor could not find my previous history with another specialist at same location. Dismissed other symptoms and discomfort.
