Birch Porter, M.D., believes that health care is managed best when doctors and patients work together. “I provide information to help patients understand their health, and act as a liaison between patients and the vast health care field,” she says. “It’s a privilege to be able to use my training and what I know about my patients to help them lead healthier, more comfortable and possibly happier lives.”
Dr. Porter was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii — a town about the size of Newberg. She earned her medical degree at the University of Hawaii, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California-Irvine Medical Center.
“I love to dance, and was very excited to discover McMinnville’s School of Ballet,” says Dr. Porter. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
