When asked what she finds most rewarding about being a physician, Lisa Paul, M.D., responds, “Making people feel better and getting to know them over many years.” She prefers a teamwork approach in her practice, involving her patients in their health care decisions. “I see my role as two-fold,” she says. “First is to emphasize health maintenance and prevention. And second, in the event of an illness, to help coordinate care so my patients don’t get lost in a sea of specialists.”
A native Oregonian, Dr. Paul earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University, and completed her internship and residency at Providence Portland Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Paul and her husband, Greg, have two daughters, Leighton and Ava. When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Paul likes traveling and spending time with family and friends
