About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Despite my large number of health issues and medications, and the complexity of some of the issues, she always makes enough time to address everything in a meaningful way. She works with me to develop creative solutions to problems beyond what is available in standard medical literature and education, while still adhering to evidence-based principles and guidelines where necessary for good outcomes. I always leave her office feeling healthier and happier than when I entered.

She didn't listen to what I had to say. I had been doing great on my current medication for the last few years, and she insisted on putting me on a different medication even though I told her a previous doctor had tried a couple alternatives and they made me feel awful. I told her I don't do well with drugs and finally found one that worked just fine for me. She wouldn't listen to me and trust that at 52 years old I know my body and what it can handle. I ended up taking the dosage of the drug she prescribed and was miserably sick for two days. [...] I told the doctor I would rather not be on a drug I had to take every day - that I did just great taking my current medication on an "as needed" basis. WOW. I am SO frustrated she didn't listen to me, and that I felt absolutely miserable for an entire day of my life and nearly couldn't even do my two jobs! : / Dr. Parshley just focused on that one thing - messing up my perfectly fine routine - at the expense of two other more pressing issues I had! I didn't go in there to get the ONE prescription medication altered. I went in there because I started getting dark circles under my eyes recently and have a lump by my neck that I am concerned about.

Dr. Parshley is too good, it takes too long to get an appointment for urgent needs! I do not refer others as I think her wait times are too long both to get an appointment and sometimes to be seen when you are there.
100

05/05/2017
Long wait times - I waited 1 hr. 10 min. in exam room - love Dr. Parshley as she takes time with you and I know this is reason for long waits. How about enabling MDs to see patients as long as necessary - not some "equation" of numbers!

04/13/2017
Never before have I had a doctor that listens so well & always cares about me!

04/12/2017
Dr. Parshley is what doctors should be like. She went over every detail of my health care and this is the first time in years and years I have felt like I finally have a physician who took the time to actually LISTEN to me and allowed me to work WITH her on my care. She went over my health history WITH me instead of just reading what was written. I have been waiting to switch doctors for a while and with my new insurance this was the perfect opportunity and she was open to taking new patients.
100

04/04/2017
She's simply "the best".

03/29/2017
There can be long waits at appointment time. There were some discrepencies between what was talked about in visit and what was written in report that came home with me. She is a very thorough and, I think, good doctor. She is also a pleasant person.

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Parshley. She is knowledgeable, very caring and thorough. She listens to me and tries her best to help with any problem. I am blessed!
100

02/12/2017
Dr. Parshley may be a little behind schedule, but it is not upsetting to me. It actually makes me like her more, since if she has to spend a little more time with another patient, she will do the same for me if necessary.
90

02/08/2017
I won't tell anyone else to see her as she is too busy now! I have been upset in the past about wait times, but she has made others wait to treat my issues so I figure fair is fair. I appreciate her care and concerns of my issues.

02/08/2017
Scheduling an appointment is too difficult. I missed my initial annual check-up appointment in November (first time in 20 years), and had to wait 2 months to get another appointment, which I then missed because of the snow closures and it was another month before I could get another appointment. This plays havoc with my need for prescription refills, annual labs, and management of chronic health problems--NOT TO MENTION MY INSURANCE COMPANY'S LIMITS ABOUT APPOINTMENTS. I think you over-work your doctors. They should have more openings.

I always wait too long for my appointment 1.75 hours waiting before she saw me. the front desk did not check on me or update me. The MA only checked on me after I was in the room 45 minutes to say Doctor would be right in, I waited another 30 minutes after that.

09/28/2016
my care provider is excellent but the office has a policy to where I was inactivated as a patient because I did not see my provider in two years. I think that penalized both healthy and every sick patients. in my case I had been regularly seeing a specialist for health issues. however when I needed to return to dr parsley I had to come back as a new patient. I think this is a very bad policy that encourages the use of emergency or urgent care services.

09/13/2016
my PCP is excellent! currently the only problem I have is I need the referral to see a specialist after the X-Ray. I have sent two emails through My Char on last Wednesday. I haven't received any response so far (today is Tuesday). My doctor also said she'd call me after getting the results from my X-Ray. [...] is very painful, I hope I can get the referral sooner, maybe her nurse can call me soon. She is a wonderful Doctor, I understand she has many many patients.
