Christine Olson grew up in a health care family, and knew she wanted to be a doctor when she was a young girl. "I always enjoyed hearing my father's stories," said Christine.
In her practice, she emphasizes avoiding surgery if it is not needed and carefully evaluating all the options. "I enjoy helping patients make the best decision for their health," she says. "Together, we can create a treatment plan that is best for the patient."
Christine received her undergrad degree from Northwestern University in Evanston Ill., and went on to earn her medical degree from University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She completed her internship and residency at OHSU in Portland, Ore.
Born in Japan and Minnesota raised, she loves the outdoor lifestyle. She moved to Hood River with her husband Carrington Barrs and their two children. She enjoys skiing and biking in her free time.
