"My father was a physician, and as a youngster I was aware of his compassion and expertise in caring for members of our community," says Michael Narus, M.D. "Based on that experience, I decided to become a physician."
In his practice, Dr. Narus emphasizes compassionate and expert quality care, providing holistic neurological care for children and adults. "I am a helper," he says. "My job is to help patients as much as I can."
Dr. Narus is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery in Missouri. He completed residencies in neurology and pediatrics at Saint Louis University, Missouri, as well as a pediatric neurology fellowship at Milwaukee Children's Hospital in Wisconsin.
Dr. Narus is board certified in neurology, with special competence in child neurology. He is a clinical professor of pediatric neurology at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, and serves on the staff of Doernbecher Children's Hospital – Oregon Health & Science University one week a month.
