Growing up working in her father’s family medicine clinic, Marissa Moritz-Guzik, PA-C, knew early on that she wanted to follow in his footsteps as a health care provider.
“Seeing the relationships he developed and the preventive care he provided inspired me,” she said. “My most important role as a member of a health care team is to establish a mutual understanding through communication and education.”
After earning her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado, Marissa moved to Oregon to attend Pacific University for her training as a physician assistant.
Marissa loves Portland, as do her husband, two dogs and three chickens. Her hobbies include cooking, camping, running and spending time with family and friends.
