Carla Morey has wanted to be a medical provider since childhood. As a physician assistant, she especially enjoys seeing her patients change their health by embracing a healthy diet and exercise. “I encourage my patients to make informed personal choices about their health care so they can live out full, happy lives despite possible illness, circumstances or financial status,” she says. “I want to instill a sense of empowerment for each patient to choose the best options for them in each stage of their life.”
She considers her most important role to be listening and hearing what a patient is really saying and offering encouragement and sound medical advice.
Carla is a graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. She has special clinical interests in skin cancer, diabetes and urgent care.
Raised in the Midwest, Carla is an avid embroiderer and artist who enjoys spending time with her husband, grandchildren and pets. She is on the board of several volunteer organizations.
