Biography & Education

Matthew Moravec, M.D., has a strong focus in preventive medicine and pediatrics.

"Health in later years is determined by countless decisions we make on a daily basis," he says. "Getting kids off to a great start sets them up for a lifetime of good health."

Dr. Moravec describes the three pillars of excellent primary care as: "encouraging healthy behavior, providing appropriate screening and developing a doctor-patient partnership."

Dr. Moravec received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and has volunteered in Asian health centers, as well as in various underserved clinics in Portland. Born just outside of Salem, he enjoys healthy cooking, gardening and running with his greyhound.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

The clerk's should take better strides to ensure that the other patients in the waiting room can't hear the conversation between them and the patient checking in.

this is only my second year coming to this office but I am very pleased with the whole process and individuals that work there. I hope it continues this well on all visits.

[...] I like the care team but I am currently looking for an alternative because when I come down sick with a virus or infection I can not ever be seen the same day. This wasn't the case in the past but is always the case now.

Couldn't ask for a better dr. would recommend to anyone, very caring and always makes me feel at ease.

The quality of care from Dr. Moravec and from the office in general is the reason why I drive from Gresham to Milwaukie, despite closer local offices. Dr. Moravec is excellent.

Great experience Dr. M is gonna be a fantastic addition to your facility!!!!!

After the x-ray, I was told that the Dr. would review the results with me. After waiting for some time, I decided to leave, and went home.

I already wrote Dr. Burness, my primary care physician, thanking her and group C for excellent care.

He really didn't seem to want to examine me. If it weren't for me asking him to check my back for possible issues due to sun exposure, since I've had a polyp removed previously, he wouldn't have even examined me. (Except for nose and ears.) It was question and answer time, not a physical exam. He knows my chart and history. He didn't check for more.
