Kessa Mauras, DPM, was born and raised in New York City. She attended Hartwick College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a minor in Latin American Caribbean Studies.
Later, Dr. Mauras graduated from The California School of Podiatric Medicine in 2006 (CSPM). Her residency training at Wykoff Heights Medical Center in New York focused on medicine and surgery of the foot and ankle. Training included running the podiatric service, research, participating in the care of limb threatening trauma and infections.
Dr. Mauras has presented poster abstracts at national conferences, completed a research externship at Boston Medical Center and won first place in the Foundation for Podiatric Medicine residency research competition.
