Clea Lopez, M.D., was inspired to become a physician through her experience as a Spanish interpreter, researcher and teacher. "I chose family medicine so I could empower my patients to take an active role in their medical care and support a healthy lifestyle," she says.
In her practice, Dr. Lopez emphasizes caring for her patients as a whole and not just an illness or disease. "Listening to my patients is of utmost importance," she says. "I am their partner in their journey toward inproved health and wellness."
After earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, she completed her family medicine internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Dr. Lopez is board certified in family medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Lopez enjoys cooking, reading, playing the violin and ukulele, and spending time with her husband, daughter and family dog. She is fluent in Spanish.
