Biography

Clea Lopez, M.D., was inspired to become a physician through her experience as a Spanish interpreter, researcher and teacher. "I chose family medicine so I could empower my patients to take an active role in their medical care and support a healthy lifestyle," she says.

In her practice, Dr. Lopez emphasizes caring for her patients as a whole and not just an illness or disease. "Listening to my patients is of utmost importance," she says. "I am their partner in their journey toward inproved health and wellness."

After earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, she completed her family medicine internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Dr. Lopez is board certified in family medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Lopez enjoys cooking, reading, playing the violin and ukulele, and spending time with her husband, daughter and family dog. She is fluent in Spanish.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

waiting! sometimes you have to sit in the waiting room for 20 to 25 minutes then you have to wait again for 10 to 15 min. I realize Doctors are busy but couldn't the nurse or assistant check in with patients to let them know that they are not forgotten.

Dr. Lopez is a very nice person, however I feel she could use more training or read up more on general items - Don't take for granted or suggest a generality -

I've had the same care provider for approximately 4 years (since she has been there) and she truly is the best doctor I have had. I trust her and have great respect for her. I haven'talways trusted the doctors I've seen, so that says a lot.

I have always from day one been very impressed with how much time Dr. Lopez spends with me at each visit. Not just quick in & out. Takes time to be very thorough with my visit.

Called 5 days later to get a Ct script due to continuing abdominal pain & was told I needed to come in to be reevaluated. I felt like I talked to the dr about this issue when I was there previously & dont see a need to come in when I was just there. Was hoping to avoid a ER visit. we moved from NJ & was disappointed to see ALL nearby providence clinics full of patients except for the resident clinic. And couldn't get in for over a month. Dr listened well but now that I'm being asked to come in for reevaluating tells me that perhaps she wasn't really listening.

I almost never get to see my preferred provider, Dr Lopez. if I call with a pressing need, I have to see other doctors and PAs because her appointments are filled weeks ahead. I'd like to see the same doctor on a regular basis. I also think they should mention beforehand if the appointment is with a PA instead of a physician.
