Karen Kruse, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico after completing a degree in human biology with an emphasis in aging studies at Stanford University. Before joining Providence ElderPlace as a staff physician, she completed an internal medicine residency at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital.
“It has been a privilege to serve as a primary care provider at Providence ElderPlace, working with teams and participants from Mt. St. Joseph, Cully, Glendoveer and the Marie Smith Center,” says Dr. Kruse. “I have left full time practice to tend to some needs within my own ‘FamilyPlace’, and to take a deep breath. I am happy that ElderPlace has kept me on staff in an on-call capacity to fill-in as needed for my colleagues.”
When not focusing on the needs of ElderPlace participants, Dr. Kruse enjoys spending time with family and friends. An aging house provides a never-ending project list. She also lends a hand making biodiesel out of waste vegetable oil.
