About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

A Dr in [...] wanted me to be seen within a week of returning to Portland and Dr Jones got me in to see him within two days. I so appreciated his efforts and was very relieved to get his feedback.

[...] this team has to be the most professional group I've ever dealt with. They were extremely competent, knew their business (all of it!) and were completely transparent, considerate, calming (!) and confident. If it was up to me, I'd double everybody's salaries in the cardiac care unit!

The person doing the scheduling is out of her depth. When I was told by the provider I'd have an appointment in two weeks, I had to call the office after two weeks and talk to the scheduler, at which time she made me an appointment another 4 weeks out. This delay caused me to incur an additional office visit, per insurance requirement of having visited the office within 30 days of my catheter ablation. This extra visit was, of course, paid (at least partly) out of my own pocket.

My wait time was longer due to 2 unexpected emergency walk in visits. The staff and the Docter explained the situation and apologized for the wait. Everyone at the office was pleasant and very professional. I was happy to hear that emergency walk ins are handled quickly.

front desk people are usually rather arrogant and just seem too busy to help people, much different than primary care providers admin. MA's and PA's and doc was fantastic, just the desk people come across this way in my opinion.

I have to say I have been thoroughly impressed with the swiftness and ease of access to scheduling and to my doctor thus far. My midwife faxed a referral request to cardiology and the very next day I was contacted by scheduling who was able to get me an appt the day after that. The doctor originally assigned to my case was able to direct me to Dr. Randolph and make the transition when I arrived for my appt seeing that my needs were met more specifically with his specialty in tachycardia, so I wouldn't be wasting a visit only to come back and see him later. I appreciated Dr. Randolph's professional but extremely warm manner in that he really treated me as a human, not simply another case. He made me feel at ease and comfortable, was empathetic and respectful. He ordered an echocardiogram and event monitor for me on Friday and said I would be contacted to schedule which happened again promptly Monday morning and I was able to get in the very next day(Tues) for both. All of my appts have been on time/slightly early and all the technicians/receptionists helpful and kind. Dr. Randolph contacted me with the results of my echocardiogram the very same day after it was completed(Tues.) I didn't expect to hear back my results so soon or to have such swift service in scheduling all appointments. I appreciate this kind of service very much. Thank you!

When I was first diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, I was immediately referred to and seen by Doctor Randolph Jones at Providence St. Vincent's Heart Rhythm. They spend a good amount of time explaining a-fib to my husband and myself and explaining my options. I choose the option of cardiac ablation and felt very confident with their ability to perform the procedure. I am currently recovering from the ablation and hopeful that it is going to be successful.
