Dong Lim Ji, M.D., takes a holistic approach to care, stressing the importance of treating the person as a whole. “It is important to take care of not just your physical health, but also your mental and spiritual health,” she says.
Dr. Ji works to be an educator for her patients so that they can make informed decisions about their health care. In her practice, she emphasizes preventive care. She believes that regular exercise, eating right and not smoking are the most important aspects of living a healthy and long life.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Dr. Ji completed an internship and residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C.
Dr. Ji was born in Seoul, South Korea. She and her husband, Lewis, have two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys sitting down with a good book in hand. Dr. Ji also speaks Korean.
