Biography & Education

Shannon Jackson, M.D., is a northwest native who earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University.  She completed her internal medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center, and a subsequent geriatrics fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in 2007.

"My highest priority when meeting with my patients is to minimize the impact of chronic illness to allow each person to maximize their physical function and actively engage in living,” says Dr. Jackson.

"I love the caring community that exists between Providence ElderPlace employees and participants.  Each person is asked what goals they would like to achieve in their life and we try to accomplish them together."

Dr. Jackson spends most of her free time playing with her young twins and doing the minimum amount of housework acceptable to her husband.
