Biography & Education

Lynn Hoth, a certified family nurse practitioner, believes that patient and provider are partners in the management of health care. “I place emphasis on health promotion and patient education so my patients are informed about health or disease,” she says. “I feel that the more one in informed, the better prepared they will be to take an active role in their own health care.”

After completing her master’s degree in nursing at the University of California, San Francisco, Lynn became a clinical specialist in pulmonary and renal nursing. She completed her post-master’s program for specialization as a family nurse practitioner at Washington State University.

Away from her practice, Lynn enjoys the many forms of outdoor recreation here on the north Oregon coast.

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Lynn was excellent. Listened to my concerns and worked hard to ensure my health care needs were met.

I just felt like I am having some health concerns that my provider didn't take seriously.

she doesn't seem to hear me & sometimes specimens that were taken don't make it to the lab

From the front desk to the MA to Lynn, I received cheerful, knowledgeable care. I am grateful for this excellent practice!

I would not recommend this provider to anyone AS it is hard enough to get an appointmentioned with her as it is... but she gives me good care and her assistant is always upbeat and helpful

It would be very helpful if the paperwork for the appt was available on My Chart to fill out ahead of time.

I always enjoy seeing Lynn. She makes me feel welcome and shares personal experiences and thoughts.

Lynn Hoth is an excellent primary care provider. She is an excellent, patient listener and asks good questions. She is experienced so recognizes almost any problem you may have.

it's always a good experience with lynn Hoth, dr's at this office are extremely overbooked, so they have little time to actually be a Doctor which I'm assuming the reason they went to school.

Dr. Hoth continues to be a fabulous doctor and is always attentive to my needs....even when I don't want to follow instructions! Clearly....she is always right and I usually have to admit it to her after the fact..LOL. Hope she never retires!

Lynn Hoth has saved my freaking life! I will sing her praises to the moon!

Always there and very helpful to my needs. She listens and understands - Lynn Hoth is the best!!!

[...] the office/provider did not contact me with chest x-ray results. I went on line and read the report from the Radiologist. A follow up call from provider about that and follow up about potential disorder in rib cage would have been good. Especially if the results of x-ray were poor, I would want a personal phone call. Minor complaint in a sea of excellency. :)

I have always been very happy with Lynn Hoth - she really listens to what I have to say and I appreciate that very much

she was running way behind but stiltook ithe time we needed

Dr Hoth is very knowledgeable, caring, takes time to listen, answers all questions

I have always been treated with respect at this office. I like the way Lyn Hoth is always tentative to my needs both physical and mental. one of the best.

appreciate time she allows to bisit,listen,explain...feel like I gat full attention.

Super all the way around.

Lynn is exceptionally knowledgeable re. medical issues, gives great advice, and is attentive to a patient's needs.

Thank you for being an amazing Doctor, as long as your there all my kids will go to you.

I liked Lynn Holt because she was FOCUSED on what I had to say or questions. She's a real gem!!!

The care was great [...] Lynn was recommended to me as someone very good and that I should make an appt with her. It took me at least 4 mos. to get that appt. [...]

I do not like to be badly talked to about not wanting any flu shots!

Very sensible, clear, and caring

Lynn is an excellent listener.

Lynn has been my doctor for 12 years and children's doctor since they were born. There is nothing I wouldn't come to Lynn about. She has seen us through good times and tough times. And now we are moving and I'm going to miss her dearly. I have chosen our next physician in Washington, also a Providence provider. He has big shoes to fill.

Lynn Hoth has always been a good listener, compassionate, dedicated, and an excellent source of information. Her care goes above and beyond; on this visit, she could have sent me home w "something to try", but was able to discern that my need was an immediate one, and she even wheeled me to the ER room for further diagnosis. The result was immediate surgery, and she literally saved my life. [...] Kudos to Lynn, and the staff at the hospital. :-)

I was well treated by the doctor, who was "standing in" for Dr. [...].

Lynn consistently provides the highest quality primary care services my family and I have ever received. so caring so competent and all with grace and a sense of humor. Best Care without a doubt.

I was hospitalized for an emergency in 2 of Providence hospitals. When I saw Lynn Hoth for a follow/up as recommended by surgeon/hospitalist, she said she had been "following me" on electronic records. It was nice she stayed in the loop of 3 hospitalizations. I didn't have to "explain" illness or reasons I was hospitalized.

Exceptional care

I had a skin tag removed from my neck during this visit. I appreciated being able to have it done during this appointment rather than consulting a dermatologist. However, the pathology report indicated that this could have been skin cancer. I learned that information by checking the report on My Health Chart. [...] I have not had a call from the clinic. The report contained a referral to a dermatologist that I would not know about if I had not checked the online report. News like this needs to be given by phone. My dermatologist was even confused by the wording of the results.

Obviously there are certain tests and information that the providers are required to impart to patients, even if we don't necessarily care to hear about them. Never really asked about any concerns I had or what thoughts I had on my care.

Care provider was great. Took way too long to actually see provider as I'm assuming overbooked.

[...] I felt as though I was questioned about the reasons why I had to see a provider. I have never worked anywhere in the medical field where I had to explain over & over why I needed an appt. just felt the process to be seen for something I was in pain for that I was being disregarded. [...]

Lynn Hoth is very easy to talk to, she doesn't breeze in & out.

This apt was a "meet and greet"...the first time to visit Dr. Hoth. [...] I know and like Dr. Hoth very much. [...]

I have been to a lot of different doctors in my past years Lynn Hoth is rated one of the best!
