Biography

"I believe the most important skill we need as physicians is to listen to our patients. Advances in medical technology, while exciting, can only be helpful if they are tailored to each patient's individual circumstances. I am fascinated by all aspects of neurology, but I have a special interest in epilepsy and seizures. My goal is to help patients with epilepsy lead a normal life to the greatest extent possible, without feeling limited by their illness."

Dr. Gerber graduated and also completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. She later became Chief Resident in Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute, St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix. Dr. Gerber has also completed a fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. She brings several honors and awards to The Oregon Clinic, Neurological Clinic East division including the Dr. Joseph White Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership During Residency from the St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center. She also received the Chairman’s Award from the Barrow Institute and was recognized as the Ortho-McNeil Epilepsy Top Scholar. Currently, Dr. Gerber provides remote neurophysiology services, and is not seeing patients in clinic.
