Michelle Edwards has always wanted to be of service to others, and is fascinated by the inner-workings of the human body. As a physician’s assistant, she is able to combine these interests and help others achieve their best health possible.

In her practice, she emphasizes preventive care and shared decision making.  “I believe in evidence-based medicine to help patients achieve results,” she says. “I encourage my patients to be informed and participate in decisions that affect their health.”

Michelle graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., with a degree in child and family studies. She went on to earn her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from OHSU in Portland Ore. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Originally from Wisconsin, she is excited for all the outdoor activities Hood River has to offer. She enjoys mountain and road biking, running, skiing and backpacking. As a music-enthusiast, she also enjoys playing the cello and piano. She is married to Jim Edwards, M.D., a hospitalist at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. They live in The Dalles with their dog Mike.
