Biography & Education

Dr. Croy is a board certified orthopedic physician and surgeon. He treats patients with sports and trauma injuries as well as those with general orthopedic problems.

Dr. Croy's personalized, collaborative care helps each patient focus on returning to maximum physical function and the activities they love. "Good medicine begins with a good conversation," says Dr. Croy. "It's my experience that patients make good choices when they know their options. It starts by taking time to explain what's going on. Often, surgery is the only solution, but when conservative, non-surgical treatment is an option, it should be a patient's choice."

Prior to joining Providence Medical Group, Dr. Croy directed his own successful private orthopedic practice in Newberg. hHis work has consistently been known for excellence in care and service. Dr. Croy also served as assistant professor of Orthopedics at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland where he instructed Level 1 Orthopedic Trauma Care.

- A board-certified orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon

Patient Ratings and Comments
About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I felt like the M.D. spoke to my spouse rather than speaking to me directly. Also, the medical assistant could have been more helpful with putting the brace on my right wrist.

I really don't like Providence phone system. It is horrible trying to make an appt or call for a question. I would prefer a direct number to the office I'm seeing.

Very good

Explained very well all xrays & MRI. All past present visits have been good.

dr croy is an excellent doctor. he showed me the x rays and discussed my options.

Dr. Croy was really personable and easy to chat with. He seemed generous with his time. I visited him for a broken bone and he told me I could choose to wear or not wear a walking boot for my foot but that is not what the physical therapist wanted at all.

Dr Croy and his staff have always been professional, personable, respectful, and helpful. I have no complaints.

DR. Croy is a very good doctor he has always been able to explain what is going on and how to fix the problem.

Dr Croy has always gone above and beyond my expectations. I trust him more than any other provider I have had.

Good to Great...

Treated quickly and professionally by Dr. Cray and his team after my emergency -

Dr Croy is the best! he performed my first knee replacement and did an outstanding job! so I came back to him for my other knee to be replaced

Dr. Croy and assistant very warm, caring, experienced professionals. A+.

Dr. Croy exudes confidence just by his demeanor. He explains issues and procedures in a simple and common sense way that I could understand. This is my second joint replacement (he did the first) [...]. He is the best!!!

very professional.

Dr Croy is the best!

Doc was Rushed. There were people that came in AFTER there appointment time (could overhear the Check in) and they were seen BEFORE those that were there on time. All Doc Did was give a shot then recommend a brace. Did NOT say how long/Often to wear it. Said to look up the information on the internet...

I enjoy talking with Dr. Croy, he is knowledgeable and friendly. He seems genuinely interested in helping my situation.
