Biography & Education

Biography

Rebecca Cleeton, D.O., became a doctor because it offered her the opportunity to work with people of all ages. “In family medicine, you develop long-term relationships with your patients and their entire families,” she says. “Often that means caring for patients throughout their lives, watching them change and grow – which is very rewarding.”

After earning her medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Cleeton completed her internship and residency at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Portland, Ore.

Born in Portland, Dr. Cleeton enjoys her time outside of work exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, with her husband, three children and dogs.

About Our Survey

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

The diagnosis of my Pap was a bit confusing so I had to call to get someone to explain the issue to me. It was on the test result page online but didn't explain what all the # s mean or the medical jargon. It would have been nice if someone had called to let me know what it mean instead of me having to request someone call me back.

Dr. Cleeton and team always kind and caring. some of referrals to specialists in past have been too far out or not covered by insurance, but this is only a minor issue. [...] Dr. Cleeton is a top-notch doctor.

The focus of my appointment was spent interacting with my records on a computer screen. In other words, the doctor gave the screen more attention and eye contact than the patient. I was required to have an appt. to receive a prescription refill. I guess I got what I came for- but I left the facility thinking it was a impersonal and unsatisfying medical interaction. Ah...to be one of the mass...in the black hole of records and technology. It was not what I was used to with Dr. Cleeton - I've been a patient for ten years.

Dr. Cleeton is extremely knowledgable and empthetic. Some referrals have been questionable such as sending PT patients to providers 45 minutes outside of town, but others have been convenient and spot on. Feel lucky to have her as a provider.

The only reason I do not recommend the doctor to anyone is because I feel the doctor has to many patients. Almost always I see the P.A. I like him very much also. I would prefer to see MY doctor. I have learn to book ahead and then cancel a day or two before if I don't need the appointment. Dr Cleeton is wonderful.
