Dr. James Chong takes a holistic approach to health care, treating the body, mind and spirit. He believes in forming collaborative relationships with his patients in which they can work together to come up with a care plan that fits patients' individual needs.
"My patients will each be treated as an extension of my own family," says Dr. Chong. "With a commitment to listen to their concerns, I warmly invite them to partner with me in creating a care plan that leaves them feeling confident and bringing about greater health."
Before attending medical school at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, James completed his undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University and biology studies at Portland State University and at Walla Walla College in Washington. Dr. Chong completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Providence Milwaukie Hospital.
Dr. Chong was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in the Portland area. Away from the office he enjoys golf, running and racquetball.
