In her medical practice, Megan Chaffin sees herself as a patient’s “personal health consultant.” She enjoys working with people from all walks of life. Family practice provides the variety and challenge that she enjoys.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Linfield College in Portland, Megan worked as a specialized nurse for 15 years, certified in oncology and gastroenterology. As a nurse, she saw how important it was for patients to have a medical “home base” with a primary care provider. She returned for her Master of Science degree at Oregon Health & Science University, with postgraduate education in geriatrics. Her master’s research was in fibromyalgia and IBS. She is board certified in family practice.
In her free time Megan enjoys outdoor activities with her family, especially kayaking, gardening and cross country skiing.
